An Unwelcome Visitor....HISSSSSS!!!

This is what I've been looking like today:

Mom and I were just sitting at the back door this morning, watching for any stray birds that might fly by, when what should pop over our patio wall but a kitten!! I found out soon enough that the kitten was MALE. An interloper!!! I haven't stopped hissing and growling since mom and dad *insisted* we take the kid in to see if we could contact his parents. So far, though, his mom has not called us. He really stinks, this little guy. Goes by the name of "Stoner." Ugh. For the most part, though, I'm scared as hell. Mom and dad can't understand why I should be so afraid of such a little guy, but the fact is, he's a *guy.* He was rubbing against them both, and they're MINE! MY PARENTS, AND YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM!!!

I don't really wish him malice (well, not much anyway), but I sure hope he leaves soon. And finds a good home- some place else!!

That's all for now!!

An Update on Stoner:

Well, Stoner is no longer with us (sigh of relief). I know I'm a big baby, but it feels much better here at home without him. His caregiver came to take him home. Apparently, they moved, and Stoner ran away during that time. He'd been on his own for a week, and mom said he was really thirsty. At any rate, he's back where he belongs, and I'm king of my home again. PURRRRR...

Mom always thinks it's "so cute" (Mom voice) when I fall asleep like this. Moms are so weird.

My 2nd Favorite Thing To Do...

Well, I couldn't figure out (yet!) how to put a picture in with my profile, so this will have to do for now...(Mom's not much help, she only just figured out how to insert links into my page. Sheesh.)

My Inaugural Entry

As I was perusing my almost-a-cousin Gigi's blog, I was encouraged to begin my own site dedicated to, well, *me.* My mom tells me all the time (sometimes it *really* drives me crazy) how gorgeous and wonderful and special I am...but you know how Moms are. What do they know?

Up until now, I don't have too much to complain about. I would like to spend more time on the patio than I do (there are so many interesting fluttery things outside!), but even though I've jumped over the wall *only* 3 times, Mom still doesn't quite trust me. She thinks someone may run away with me. (Ha! Or maybe I'll run away from her! Right- I know a good thing when I see one. She's already admitted to me she's wrapped around my paw!) I just can't help myself sometimes. I get so excited to explore the garden outside. You just wouldn't believe how many strange and wonderful smells are out there. The old apartment aroma gets a bit stale and boring sometimes. It's home definitely, but one wants a break every now and then.

Mom tells me we'll be moving soon. Since San Diego is all I've ever known, I'm not sure how things will be in this place called Denver. She's mentioned this thing "snow" a few times in talking with Daddy. She seems to think it'll be real funny to see me encounter it for the first time. I hate when parents joke about you, as if you can't hear what they're saying!

Well, that's all for now. Stay tuned, hep cats and kittens...
